English Academic Editing
Editorial services for international academics
Providing editing services since 2013
I help non-native English-speaking researchers get published — professional editing for manuscripts, theses, and grant applications since 2013.Science only matters if it's shared. But most peer-reviewed journals publish in English — not the first language of most of the world's researchers. That gap can slow down brilliant work, or keep it from reaching the audience it deserves.I help close that gap. Since 2013, I've provided professional English-language editing and proofreading for scientists and academics at every career stage — from PhD students writing their first thesis to senior researchers submitting to top-tier journals. What I edit:
Research articles and reviews, theses and dissertations, grant and project applications, conference posters and presentations, book chapters, and more. Every edit includes formatting consistency and bibliography accuracy alongside language and grammar. For early-career researchers:
Your thesis is often your first major piece of academic writing — and it matters. I give it the same thorough attention as any journal submission: clear writing style, correct grammar and spelling, scientific accuracy, and consistent referencing, so you can submit with confidence.
How it works
1. Send me your document
Email your manuscript, thesis, or application along with your target journal or deadline. Any format works — Word, PDF, or PowerPoint.2. Receive a quote
I'll review the document length and complexity and send you a fixed price and estimated turnaround time — no surprises.3. Editing begins
I edit for grammar, clarity, flow, and scientific accuracy, using tracked changes so you can see every edit and accept or query them individually.4. Review and revise
You receive the edited document with all changes visible, plus a summary of any recurring issues or suggestions for improvement.5. Submit with confidence
Your document is polished, consistent, and ready for journal submission, thesis defence, or grant review.

About me

I am an English native, with a PhD from the School of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Leeds (UK), I have a great fondness for reviewing current scientific manuscripts, finding great pride in helping others get their work published. I have been editing and reviewing manuscripts for journals, book chapters, thesis, and European-based grant applications since 2013.I am always looking for more manuscripts to review and I hope to hear from you soon, so I can help you publish your new work to give it the best possible chance.
While at university studying for a degree in Food Science, I discovered I not only have a passion for research science but I also for the expression of the science. Through my degree I developed a keen interest in colloidal science and microscopy analysis and using this, I succeeded in participating in student-grant based research projects, helping me develop my research and writing skills. My interest in colloidal science was carried through to my PhD research but this time in pharmaceuticals, helping me to diversify my knowledge to other fields. It was during my time studying for my PhD I discovered the need of others for proofreading of scientific material, in my native English. At first, I was just proofreading for friends and colleagues as a favour to them, however, later I realised this could be a skill I could offer to other fellow researchers.Since graduating from university, I have endeavoured to advance my knowledge and skills to help with proofreading and editing and here I offer the next step of my career, offering my services to a wider audience to help researchers perfect the work and disseminate their information to the world.
